NSPCC: Porn video a 'stark reminder' of risks on internet

It's good that Twitter has acted quickly in this case, but it's a stark reminder that social media platforms are not always safe for young people.

It's vital small children are supervised on the internet and are educated about staying safe as they get older.

There is a very real danger in terms of online pornography facing our children and it's not going to go away.

From technology companies to parents, we must all play our part in keeping young people safe online.

Vine users posting inappropriate videos face ban

Users can report videos as inappropriate within the product if they believe the content to be sensitive or inappropriate (e.g. nudity, violence, or medical procedures).

Videos that have been reported as inappropriate have a warning message that a viewer must click through before viewing the video.

Uploaded videos that are reported and determined to violate our guidelines will be removed from the site, and the user account that posted the video may be terminated.
