Big night for the Brits at the Golden Globes
Adele was among a cast of award-winning Brits at last night's Golden Globes.
Skyfall was named best original song, the singer was star-struck by her success.
Other big Brit winners included Daniel Day-Lewis for winning Best Actor for Lincoln and Maggie Smith who was recognised for her role in Downton Abbey.

British singer Adele dedicated her Golden Globe win to her boyfriend Simon Konecki and her "lovely son."

Accepting the award for the Best Original Song, singer Adele said; "I've come out for a night out, as a new mum, I was not expecting that...This is for my boyfriend Simon who convinced me to do it and for my lovely son."

British stars arrive for Golden Globe Awards
Some of the British stars nominated for Golden Globe Awards have started arriving on the red carpet.
Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery is up for the Best Actress in a TV drama series, while fellow Brit Toby Jones is up for Best Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture made for TV, for his role in The Girl.
Golden Globes hall of fame began in the 1940s
The first Golden Globe awards ceremony was held in 1946.
'Going My Way' won best picture and Ingrid Bergman and Alexander Knox won best actress and best actor.
- The Golden Globe Award came about in 1946, when the association president, Marina Cisternas, came up with the idea of using a statuette of a "golden globe" with a filmstrip circling it.
- The Golden Globes started handing out awards for television in 1955. TV shows honored that year included Lucy & Desi and Davy Crockett.
- One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is the only film to win the Globe in all five major categories (Best Motion Picture, Actor, Actress, Director, Screenplay).
- Meryl Streep has won the most with eight, followed by six for Jack Nicholson, who also won a special award. Marlon Brando refused his best actor Globe for The Godfather in 1973 to protest US "imperialism and racism."
