Comedian Brian Conley has left I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! after falling ill. It comes days after the performer broke down in tears after a confrontation with boxer David Haye.

Conley: 'It would be lovely to win' I'm A Celebrity

Before entering the jungle, Brian Conley told I'm A Celebrity, "It would be lovely to win".

Conley, who has left the show for medical reasons, said, "I really enjoy making new friends and I am sure I will throw some entertainment into the soiree!"

"Of course it would be lovely to win or get in the final group. But I am going into the jungle because it will be such a great experience. Doing things like jumping out of a plane is a dream come true," he added.

The team at I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! has wished Brian Conley well after his exit from the jungle.

Under the heading "So long Brian" on the show's website, a spokesperson said, "Brian Conley has left the jungle for medical reasons. We will miss him in camp and wish him well".

Brian Conley was '2nd favourite' to win I'm A Celeb

Comedian Brian Conley was the second favourite to win I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! before leaving the jungle.

Bookmaker William Hill said that odds on Conley - the previous front-runner - had slipped to 9/2.

Eastenders star Charlie Brooks took Conley's place at the top of the table, becoming the 10/3 favourite to be named the new Queen of the Jungle.

Boxer David Haye is third favourite at 11/2, according to the bookmaker.

Brian Conley is recovering on the Gold Coast as his family flew out to support him, according reports.

His daughters Amy, 15, and Lucy, ten, and his wife Anne-Marie are at his bedside after flying to Brisbane, according to The Sun.

His dramatic exit came after viewers saw the star break down in tears on the ITV reality show.
