Hair stylist Vidal Sassoon dies

Fashion writer and friend of the late Vidal Sassoon, Hilary Alexander, told Daybreak about his amazing enthusiasm and energy even in his later years. She says he'll be remembered as an incredible symbol of British fashion and leaves a lasting legacy for modern hairdressers.

Hairdresser Nicky Clarke has paid tribute to Vidal Sassoon who has died aged 84.

Hairdresser and TV personality Tabatha Coffey trained and worked at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London before venturing to New York.

Police said Sassoon, who was reported a year ago to be suffering from leukemia, had died of natural causes.
