Restaurant murder inquiry: Man died from head injury
A post mortem examination has revealed that the death of a 65-year-old man taken to hospital after an incident in a restaurant on Hayling Island in Hampshire - was caused by a head injury.
Ambulance crews had been called to the Gandhi Restaurant on Hollow Lane in South Hayling at about 1am on Saturday 4th November.
The man died at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham just before 10am later the same day.
Three men aged 32, 34 and 37 were arrested on suspicion of murder. The 34-year-old has since been released, but remains under investigation.
Detectives have thanked the people who dined at the restaurant on Friday evening who got in touch.
Officers are asking for anyone who ate there on the evening of Friday 3rd November, who has yet done so, to contact the police - the diners may have vital information.
