A Hampshire adventure centre has been fined £30,000 for failing to ensure the safety of a young girl on a school trip.
The 11 year old was left hanging by her neck on a rope bridge when she slipped at YMCA Fairthorne Manor near Botley in 2012.
She made a full recovery.
The fine was at the lower end of the scale available to the judge.
He said it was always difficult to balance the need for children to be adventurous while at the same time not putting them at risk.
Richard spoke to Sheila Clark, Chair, Board of Trustees and Laura Taylor, Chief Exec, Winchester City Council.
