The elderly parents of a woman, murdered in Sussex, have been praised by a judge for bringing their daughter's ex-boyfriend to justice.

Peter and Elizabeth Skelton, who are 83 and 81, never gave up their fight to get Sussex Police to reinvestigate Robert Trigg over the killing of their daughter, Susan Nicholson, six years ago.

Today, Trigg was jailed for life for her murder - and the killing of a previous partner, Caroline Devlin - in what the judge called a "senseless death". Malcolm Shaw reports.
