Treacherous ice and fog contributed to fatal A40 crash

An inquest into the death of a woman who was killed in a crash on the A40 in Oxfordshire has heard ice and fog caused treacherous conditions that day.

Debbie Blood was a passenger in a car that crashed on 28th December 2016.

That day, a total of twenty vehicles were involved in four crashes on a mile stretch of the road near Witney.

The coroner at the inquest said he was satisfied the Highways Authority had acted responsibly in salting the roads the night before.
