ITV's Broadchurch drama praised for authentic portrayal of the impact of rape & the police inquiry
Millions of television viewers have been moved by harrowing scenes in the latest series of the ITV drama 'Broadchurch'.
The storyline has included a rape victim recounting the attack - and the police search for the person responsible for crime.
The programme is filmed at at West Bay in Dorset. Its scriptwriters have been praised for the sensitive way in which they have told the character Trish Winterman's story. Rachel Hepworth has been to meet some of the local women who have been involved in helping to make the depiction of the events and the ensuing investigation as authentic as possible.
