Fire at nature reserve on the Isle of Sheppey

A fire has broken out at Elmley Nature Reserve.

Six fire engines are on the scene dealing with the blaze, which has spread across a large area of undergrowth and vegetation.

Clouds of smoke can be seen across Sheppey.

People are advised to avoid the area and anyone living nearby is asked to keep their doors and windows closed.
