More than sixty firefighters in ten fire engines spent much of the day dealing with a large fire at the Fireworks Factory shop on Bitterne Road West in Southampton.
Neighbouring properties were evacuated just after 5am this morning with more than 60 people having to leave their homes. The area was also cordoned off for the emergency services to deal with the incident.
Firefighters say they are still working to extinguish a fire at the Firework Factory in Southampton.
There is likely to be disruption in the area around the firework warehouse on Bitterne Road West until lunchtime.
Crews will be at the scene for most of the day while they damp down. Nobody was injured in the fire and the cause is being investigated.
