Vauxhall fire: statement from Network Rail and South West Trains

We are sorry for the continued disruption to passengers through this evening’s peak. While all lines at Vauxhall station are now open following repairs to damage caused by this morning’s fire, South West Trains are now working to get crews and trains in place to resume services as soon as possible, but services will remain disrupted this evening.

We do hope to have a normal service in place in time for tomorrow morning’s peak.

Meanwhile we would like to thank passengers for their patience and advise them to continue to check before they travel and to use alternative services where possible. The latest information is available at www.southwesttrains.co.uk, www.nationalrail.co.uk and www.tfl.gov.uk

South West Trains tickets are still being accepted by Great Western Railway, Thameslink, Cross Country, TfL buses, London Underground and London Overground via any reasonable route as well as Southern services between Dorking, Epsom, Clapham Junction and London Victoria.

In addition, those with tickets to travel on Thursday may also use them to travel on Friday.
