Storm Imogen batters the region

Storm Imogen is bringing high winds and torrential rain to the South, South East and Thames Valley. Drivers, ferry services, flights and rail passengers are all being affected. It could bring floods, and the Met Office has issued amber warnings of wind for much of the South West. There is a yellow warning stretching from southern Wales to the Thames Estuary as the storm sweeps in from the English Channel.

Woman injured in Shoreham by falling tree

A woman has been injured by a falling tree in Shoreham.

The woman was unpacking her car in Connaught Avenue when the tree was blown over by the wind.

Neighbour David Illman said the woman was taken to hospital suffering from a head wound.

The fallen tree damaged another neighbour's car.
