A man has died having suffered an electric shock at a football pitch in Portsmouth
Police confirm incident at Portsmouth leisure centre
Hampshire Police told ITV News Meridian that they were alerted to an incident at Mountbatten Leisure Centre's outside football pitch at about 6.40pm yesterday
A spokesman said: "A 35-year-old was unconscious at the scene. He was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital by ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead.
"Next of kin have been informed. Police will not be releasing his name until formal identification procedures are complete."
