That's why they call it the Jurassic Coast! Cliff fall uncovers fossils

Bad weather may have washed part of the cliff in Charmouth, Dorset, into the sea, but it meant the beach was busier than normal.

Why? Because hundreds of fossil-hunters had descended onto the shore to snap up their own fossils fresh from the cliff-side.

Rain and winds caused part of the rock to collapse, revealing underneath the remains of dozens of ancient creatures.
