Several petitions have been raised, calling for a review of the sentencing of four teenagers after they tortured Chunky the dog.

Louise Oldfield from Margate has started one of the petitions. It calls for an 'urgent review of the sentences'.

Four teenagers were banned from keeping animals for five years after they stole and tortured Chunky. The case has been described as one of the most disturbing cases RSPCA inspectors have ever seen.

The thugs broke his leg and neck, set him on fire and fed him drugs before dumping him at a rubbish tip in Manston Road, Margate.

The various petitions call for life bans for anyone abusing animals.
