Man, jailed for murdering Claire Tiltman, challenges conviction
Lawyers for Colin Ash-Smith, jailed last year for the 1993 murder of Dartford schoolgirl Claire Tiltman, are challenging the conviction at The Court of Appeal. They argue that extracts from Ash-Smith's diary and his handwritten 'assault plans' should not have been shown to the trial jury because they were 'excessively prejudicial'. The hearing continues.
