Doctor Zhivago star Omar Sharif has died aged 83.

Actor Omar Sharif, who has died aged 83, was best known for his roles in Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago. The Hollywood star died of a heart attack at a hospital in his native Cairo. In 1983 ITV in the South interviewed him about his role in The Prince and the Showgirl at Chichester Festival Theatre. He also talked about his love for horse racing, and Glorious Goodwood in particular. Omar said he enjoyed visiting pubs and restaurants in the South. The interviewer is Chrissie Pollard.
