'One of life's true gentleman' tribute to Kent biker killed in crash

The family of a motorcyclist from Kent who was killed in a collision with an estate car on Sunday 10th May have paid tribute to him.

Malcolm Batt, aged 55, from Tenterden died in the crash on the A259 Rye Road, Brookland in Romney Marsh at about 3.50pm. Two of the people in the car - a black Renault Megane - also died.

Kent Police are carrying out an accident investigation. Detectives are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.

Malcolm Batt's family paid the following trbute:

"Our wonderful husband, Dad, brother, son, son-in-law, uncle and friend – Malcolm Batt, aged 55, was loved and adored by all who knew him. His infectious smile, his laugh and generosity are just a few of the wonderful qualities that made him what he was – one of life’s true gentlemen.

Malcolm was a giant of a man who lived for his family, friends and dogs. His genuine warmth and appetite for life touched all who knew him. Malcolm will be sorely missed by all of us who had the privilege of having him in our lives."
