Have you seen this man?

Police are appealing for help in locating Stephen Munden, who has gone missing from an independent hospital in north Hampshire.

The 54-year-old left the hospital in Winchfield, near Hook, at about 6.15pm on Tuesday, April 21, and hasn’t been seen since.

Mr Munden is described as about 5ft 8ins tall, of a heavy build, and has dark hair. He did have a very full beard, but it is believed he may have shaved it off prior to leaving the hospital.

Mr Munden was detained at the facility under a hospital order after being sentenced for sexual offences in 2014.

These were possessing, making, and attempting to make indecent images of children and sexual assault on child under 13.

“We are extremely keen to hear from anyone who has seen this man since yesterday evening or knows where he might be. Mr Munden is subject to a hospital order after being convicted and sentenced for sexual offences and also suffers from learning difficulties, so we need to know where he is as a matter of urgency. I would also appeal to Mr Munden direct to make contact with us and let us know where he is.”
