Giant naan bread is officially a record breaker
An attempt to make the world's largest naan bread has been confirmed as a record breaker.
The attempt to beat the world record took place at the Eastleigh Mela last year.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service’s Deputy Chief Officer Dave Curry said: “This was a genuine team effort, with great commitment shown by all involved."
It helped raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity, Water Wells Project and Hampshire Hurricanes.
It's just been confirmed that it is an official world record.
The aim was to cook a naan bread at least 3 metres by 1.2 metres.
The previous record measured 2.89 metres by 1 metre and weighed 9.5 kg (20lb 15oz).
