Hants car fire is 'attempted murder investigation'

A woman and two young boys had to be dragged from a car that was on fire in a Hampshire village last night. A passer-by went to help them when he spotted the flames in Hursley at about 7pm. All three are said to be in a serious condition.

Six-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy rescued from car inferno in Hampshire

A six-year-old girl and five-year-old boy are recovering today after being rescued from a car on fire. A 37-year-old woman was also hurt in the fire.

Emergency services received a call from a member of the public at 8 pm yesterday evening, they reported the fire on Merdon Castle Lane near Hursley in Hampshire.

The woman and two children were rescued from the fire and taken to hospital in a serious condition. The boy is said to have life threatening injuries.

The road is currently closed at the scene of the fire to allow police to investigate its cause.
