More than 60 firefighters are trying to bring a big blaze under control at a recycling centre in Oxfordshire tonight.
The fire at a recycling centre in Oxfordshire is now out. The blaze broke out Grundon Waste Management Ltd at Ewelme near Benson. Oxfordshire's county fire service spent all night tackling the fire which is now under control.
Flames took hold in an area dealing with chemical waste, but the fire service says there are no issues with contamination and the risk from the smoke was low. Crews from across the county and neighbouring Buckinghamshire took part in the operation to contain the blaze.
Thames Valley Police, the Environment Agency, Oxfordshire's emergency planning team, South Oxfordshire District Council, Grundons, Thames Water Police, Thames Water, the National Chemicals Emergency Centre and representatives from the voluntary sector were all involved too.
