Police investigating the death of two teenage girls who were killed in Gosport after being hit by a car have been given more time to question a 20-year-old man in custody.

School's 'thoughts with families' after tragic Gosport deaths

Brune Park Community School have released a statement after the sad death of two teenagers in Gosport.

Jasmine Allsop was a student at Brune Park and Olivia Lewry attended St Vincent College and she was a previous pupil of Brune Park school.

The two girls, 16 and 14, were fatally hit by a car in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Our thoughts and prayers are with their families at this dreadful time.

We have in place a number of procedures and support from Hampshire County Council to work with and support our students at this tragic time.

They were both independent, strong-minded individuals who lived their lives to the full with confidence and a sense of humour and a sense of fun. We will miss them both immensely and their unique talents which they displayed."
