Sheppey 'needs safety measures'
Emergency services in Kent have been dealing with a major collision. More that 100 vehicles were involved in a pile-up on the A249 in Sheppey.
Update on Sheppey crash and diversions
A249 Sheppey Crossing in Isle of Sheppey closed in both directions between Cowstead Corner and Lower Halstow turn-off, because of a serious accident involving over 100 vehicles and recovery work. Diversion in operation via the Kingsferry Bridge.
