Police are tonight facing growing criticism that they've been too heavy handed dealing with campaigners at the anti-fracking demonstration at Balcombe, in West Sussex.

Anti-fracking protesters have extended their occupation campaign up to the fences of the drill site in Balcombe.
Activists are now pitching tents as far as the gates of the exploratory drilling site, run by energy firm Cuadrilla, who have temporarily scaled down operations on advice from police.
