An ambulance with four people on board has collided with a tree in The New Forest.
Police are appealing for witnesses after four men were injured in a collision on the same stretch of road in which two were killed in last Friday's ambulance crash.
At round five minutes past midnight this morning, a black Renault Clio on the A337 towards Cadnam came off the road in the New Forest.
The vehicle is believed to have collided with a tree before coming to rest down an embankment.
The front seat passenger, 21, and a rear seat passenger, 20, had to be freed from the vehicle by fire crews. They suffered serious injuries.
I’d like to thank the drivers and passengers of several vehicles, including a coach, who stopped to help at the scene.
I would like to hear from anyone with information about the collision or anyone who saw the Clio driving prior to it.
All the men, from the Southampton area, were taken by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital. All currently remain in hospital.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Totton Roads Policing unit on 101.
