The RNLI were called out last night to extinguish a fire on board a fishing boat off the Dorset coast. Both Poole lifeboats were launched at just after 10pm last night after reports of a small vessel on fire between Baiter and Fisherman’s dock at east end of Poole Quay.
The crews doused the flames with their onboard fire hose before towing the boat towards Baiter. The inshore lifeboat crew searched the immediate area, but there was no sign of anyone in the area.
