Hindhead coach crash update

Police have officially named the third person to die in the Hindhead coach crash last week. The coach left the A3 and hit a tree. Music fans from Merseyside were on their way home after the Bestival Festival on the Isle of Wight.

Police name two coach crash victims

Police have named two of the people killed in a coach crash on the A3 in Surrey.

The coach driver who died has been named as 63-year-old Colin Daulby from Merseyside.

An 18-year-old passenger who died has been named as Michael Molloy from the Liverpool area of Merseyside.

A third victim who died has yet to be formally identified. The deaths have now been referred to the coroner.

An investigation is ongoing into the circumstances of the crash which happened when a 52 seater coach was travelling north near Thursley and collided with a tree.

A number of casualties were taken to hospitals across the South-east and eleven people remain in hospital.
