A Very Warm Welcome To The Weekend!

A few words from our Weather Presenter Simon Parkin:

With some good sunny spells and some very humid air around, it's going to get quite warm this weekend. In fact we could see the hottest day of the year so far.

The current high for 2012 was when the mercury hit 30.7C at St James's Park in London on July 25th however there's potential for a 31C (88F) somewhere in our region on Sunday.

So how does that compare with the rest of Europe? Well as you can see from the map...there are some places we can go to to cool off!
