A 17 year old will appear at Medway Youth Court later today, charged with common assault, assaulting a police officer and a public order offence after the Olympic Torch relay was disrupted on it's journey through Kent yesterday. It happened on the route along Rochester Road in Gravesend.
A 17-year-old man has been arrested for trying to grab the Olympic flame as it passed through Gravesend.
The Olympic torch received a rapturous response in Maidstone this morning as it was taken by rowing boat along the River Medway.
