The Labour leader Ed Miliband ends up with egg on his face while conducting an interview with Meridian's political correspondent Phil Hornby.
John Major hit with egg
Ed Miliband is not the first person hit by an egg in Southampton. In 1992 John Major was targeted by a Portsmouth student while he campaigned in Hedge End. The student was fined £100 and ordered to pay Mr Major £10 as compensation.
