Weather misery across the region
Gale force winds and heavy rain caused misery for many today. In Southsea, cars were crushed after scaffolding was blown down by high winds. On the M40 in Oxfordshire, driving rain and a broken down bus cause delays whilst water flooded roads and into drains around Pluckley in Kent.
