A 41-year-old cyclist who was seriously injured in a collision in Bexhill this morning has died in hospital. He was involved in a collision with a lorry while travelling along the A259 De La Warr Road at a round 7am this morning.
Sussex Police say a 60-year-old man who is from Leeds has been arrested in Eastbourne on suspicion of failing to stop and he remains in custody.
The A259 was closed in both directions until around 11am while police investigated the incident.

"Sadly this collision has resulted in the tragic death of a man. We are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision."
