A34 lorry crash closes road

A crash between two lorries is causing chaos on the roads in the Thames Valley.

The northbound carriageway of the A34 is due to be shut until 11pm this evening so emergency crews can move 27 tonnes of wreckage from the road.

Drivers on the road have taken to Twitter to vent their frustration at being caught in the traffic.

A crash between two lorries has closed parts of the A34 this afternoon - with the busy road likely to remain shut until 7pm this evening.

Two lorry drivers were injured in the crash and taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital.

The Northbound carriageway of the A road remains closed to allow emergency services to work.
