A man remains in a serious condition in hospital after being mauled by five dogs at a flat in Kent.

Firearms officers wearing riot gear were called to Westerham near Sevenoaks yesterday to help remove the injured man, and take out the dogs one by one.

But neighbours told Meridian they were shocked by what happened - not least because they had no idea dogs were kept at the flat.
