International line-up at the Poohsticks world championships
Competitors are gearing up for 32nd annual Poohsticks World Championships at Witney in Oxfordshire.
Visitors from all over the world are arriving at Cogges Manor Farm for the highly competitive event, inspired by AA Milne's characters.
Until now, the annual competition had been held at Day’s Lock in Little Wittenham for more than 30 years, attracting hundreds of competitors from across the world.
But sadly it was a victim of its own success and this year needed a new home to accommodate the number of people who turn up to take part and watch.
The game, played by Christopher Robin, Winnie the Pooh and Piglet, involves dropping a stick off the side of a bridge and seeing which one travels downstream the fastest.
