Your votes, Your MPs - the Thames Valley area

Time for a look at the opposition in the Thames Valley area following the General Election. Labour's target seats failed to materialise, and the Lib-Dems also failed to make any gains.

We speak to Andrew Smith the returning MP for Oxford East. He is a Labour politician who has increased his majority, but stands a lone figure with the majority of the Thames Valley returning Tory MPs. Cary Johnston reports.

It may have been billed as the most unpredictable General Election in a generation, but HERE, in the end, it was rather straightforward.

The Thames Valley remains exactly as it was- a sea of blue, with a solitary splash of red in Oxford.
