A murder investigation has been launched after a woman's body was found at a house in Newbury.

Woman found dead in Newbury named
Thames Valley Police can confirm the name of the woman who was found dead at a property in Newbury yesterday morning.
Sandra Talman, aged 62, was found dead at her home address in Carnarvon Place shortly after 7.30am.
A 60-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at the address and remains in police custody at this time.
Following a post mortem examination carried out yesterday afternoon, Thames Valley Police can confirm that Mrs Talman died as a result of compression to the neck.
Murder investigation in Newbury
A murder investigation has been launched in Newbury after the body of a woman was found at an address in the town.
Officers were called to a property in Carnarvon Place at 7.28am after reports of a domestic incident.
A 60-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and has been taken into custody.
Det Ch Insp Gill Wootton, who is leading the investigation, said, “At this stage we are treating this as a murder enquiry and as such there will be a significant amount of work being undertaken at the property today. I would urge any of the local residents who may have seen or heard anything, either last night or this morning, to come forward and speak to our officers."
A post-mortem examination will take place to establish the cause of death.
