Hampshire Police have launched a murder inquiry after the discovery of a woman's body at a property in Southampton.

Man charged with murder of Southampton woman

30-year-old Jamie Nicholson has been charged with the murder of Belinda Dalby.

Mr Nicholson is due in court tomorrow after an investigation was carried out by detectives into Belinda's death by the Hampshire Major Investigation Team.

Jamie Nicholson, of Edelvale Road, Southampton, is accused of killing 26-year-old Belinda Dalby whose body was found at an address in Millbrook Road East, Southampton on Friday 13th June.

The detectives are continuing to appeal for information about Belinda's murder and anyone with information should call 101 and ask for Operation Match.

I'd like to thank members of the public for their assistance with the investigation so far. The team continues to appeal for further information from anyone who knew the victim or defendant. We're also seeking details of anything suspicious that may have been seen or heard by people in the Millbrook Road East area on Thursday (June 12) or Friday (June 13)."

Man arrested on suspicion of murder after body found

Detectives from the Hampshire Major Investigation Team are investigating the suspicious death of a woman in Southampton. It follows the discovery of the body of a woman thought to be in her late teens or twenties at an address in Millbrook Road East on the evening of Friday 13th June.

Officers have arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of murder. They are conducting house-to-house enquiries. The force is keen to hear from anyone with information about anything suspicious in the Millbrook Road East area in the past few days. Witnesses can contact the police by telephoning 101.
