Volunteers to help clean-up Brighton beach

Volunteers from Sussex are working on Brighton seafront today to clear the popular beach of all the litter that has built up over the bank holiday weekend.

It comes as part of an annual big beach clean up - where 20 tonnes of rubbish was collected last year.

Local residents as well as members of local charities, such as Albion in the Community, are helping to get rid of the litter on the beach.

Volunteer litter pickers will be on Brighton beach today as part of the big beach clean up. Last year they picked up over 20 tonnes worth of rubbish.
