Four taken to hospital following A21 crash

Kent Police were called to a report that six vehicles had been involved in a collision on the A21 near Lamberhurst this morning. Two of the vehicles are thought to have suffered minor damage only.

One person has been flown to a London hospital with injuries currently described as serious. Three people have been taken by land ambulance to Pembury Hospital; one with injuries thought to be serious and two with injuries described as minor.

The A21 is likely to remain closed in both directions between the A262 (Forstal roundabout) and B2160 (Blue Boys roundabout) until about 4.30pm.Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit appeal line on 01622 798538.

A serious crash involving six vehicles is causing major disruption in Kent.

Kent Police was called at 10.40am to the serious collision on the A21 at Lamberhurst.

Six vehicles are involved in the incident and Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue are in attendance.

The road is blocked in both carriageways and drivers should avoid the area at the present time to avoid delays.

The location of the incident is on the A21 Tunbridge Wells bound, between the Goudhurst and Blueboys roundabouts.
