Video. An inquest into the death of a woman whose body was found in the basement of a shop in Chatham, has been opened and adjourned. Harjit Chaggar, who was 69-years-old, was discovered at the Sani Globe Food store on Luton Road last Saturday.

Inquest finds Chatham pensioner died of head and chest injuries
An inquest into the death of a woman whose body was found in the basement of a shop in Chatham, has been opened and adjourned. 69-year-old Harjit Chaggar died as a result of a head injury and 'severe' chest injuries.
Three men, charged with her murder, remain in police custody.

Chatham murder update: men remanded in custody
Three men have appeared in court charged with the murder of woman whose body was found in a shop in Chatham. Abdul Hannan, 44, Murshed Miah, 38, and Mohammed Liakat Islam, 28, are accused of killing 69-year-old Harjit Chaggar.
They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 20th September.
Three men charged with Chatham woman's murder
Three men have been charged with the murder of a Chatham woman and a fourth man has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have charged Abdul Hannan, 44, Murshed Miah, 38, both from Maidstone, and Mohammed Liakat Islam, 28, from Gillingham with the murder of Harjit Chaggar, of Chatham.
A fourth man, a 27-year-old from Chatham, has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Hannan, Miah and Islam are due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court this morning (Wednesday 18 September).
