Driver killed in lorry crash

A man killed in a collision with a lorry in Oxfordshire yesterday has been named locally as 86-year-old Geoffrey Catliff.

Mr Catliff died in hospital following the crash in Benson on Saturday morning.

The driver killed in a collision with a lorry in Oxfordshire yesterday has been named locally as 86-year-old Geoffrey Catliff form Wallingford.

Mr Catliff died at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford following the crash on the B4009 between Braze Lane and Cottesmore Lane.

The HGV was treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries.

Elderly driver killed in collision

An 86-year-old man who was involved in a collision in Benson in Oxfordshire has died in hospital. The pensioner was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital. He died soon after.

He's been travelling in a Vauxhall Corsa on the B4009, The Sands, when he collided with a heavy goods vehicle yesterday morning. Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident.
