Urgent warning to walkers after cliff fall
The Marine and Coastguard Agency has taken a picture of walkers near the scene of the cliff fall at Durdle Door. The area is being cordoned off, and walkers are being urged to stay far away from the cliff edge as further collapses are possible.
'Stay away from the cliffs', warn coastguards
Nic Lonsdale, duty watch manager at Portland Coastguard, said: "We are urging people to observe the warning signs and stay away from the edge." The cliffs at Durdle Door and Lulworth have been crumbling since the start of year.
In January, the steps to the famous landmark collapsed. Earlier this month, coastguards warned that the path was beginning to fall away.
