Motorists are being warned to expect major delays in the morning on the M25 northbound out of Kent towards the Dartford Crossing. Urgent repair work is needed on three lanes and the hard shoulder at junction 31 following a serious traffic accident last night which caused long delays.

Motorists are being asked to monitor travel reports and plan their journeys accordingly as the works will take several hours.

A33 Mountbatten Way in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to accident, a car and a cyclist involved between A3057 Southern Road and Regent's Park Road.

A22 High Street in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to accident, two vehicles involved between Nether Lane and Picketts Lane.

A project to replace safety fencing in the central reservation of the M271, north of junction 3 of the M27, starts this week. Work will be carried out overnight between 10pm & 6am, on 17th & 18th December, using temporary lane closures on both carriageways.
