Woman dies in flat fire

Fire officers are investigating the scene of a fatal flat fire in Stubbington in Hampshire.

A woman in her fifties died in the fire and another person was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

Officers have cordoned off the ground floor flat on Marks Road.

Firefighters were called the blaze in a ground floor flat on Marks Road in Stubbington at 11:23pm last night.

A woman in her fifties died in the fire and another person is being treated at the Queen Alexandra Hospital for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
