Police are continuing to question a twenty year old man on suspicion of murder after a man's body was found in a flat in West Sussex.

Police were called to reports of an assault in Anderson Court, Belmont Close yesterday afternoon.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Sloan said: "Nobody else was present and there is no risk to anyone else in the area."

A 26-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man's body was

found in a flat in West Sussex.

Police were called to reports of an assault in Anderson Court, Belmont Close,

Hassocks, at 3.05pm, a Sussex Police spokesman said.

He said: "On arrival they went into the flat and found the body of a man.

"A 26-year old man has been arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and

police have taken possession of a knife."

Detectives from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team are investigating, he

added.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Sloan said: "Nobody else was present and there

is no risk to anyone else in the area.

"The inquiry is at a very early stage and we are currently working to

establish exactly what has happened."
