A section of the M25 has been closed anti-clockwise in Surrey following a crash.
Surrey Police said the carriageway was closed between Junction 10 (A3, Guildford) and Junction 8 (Reigate) after a lorry collided with the central reservation at 11:50pm on Sunday night.
The driver of the lorry did not sustain any injuries.
The carriageway will remain closed until 7am, when lane 1 will then re-open until 11am. Lane 2, 3 and 4 will remain closed.
At 11am, the M25 will be fully closed between J10-J8 anti-clockwise for up to 5 hours, so it can be fully resurfaced.
During this time, the previous diversion will be in place again.
The clockwise carriageway was also blocked for some time, to allow an air ambulance and its crew to access the scene.
National Highways are working towards fully re-opening the road by rush hour on Monday evening.
Drivers are being told to allow to extra journey time and to plan ahead.
A diversion is in place.
