Teenager hit by car in Andover dies two days later in hospital

A 15 year-old boy has died in hospital, two days after being hit by a car in Andover.

A silver Ford Fiesta collided with the boy - who was walking along New Street on Saturday 21 December.

The boy was taken to hospital but has since died from his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 29-year old woman from Andover, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs.

She has been released from police custody but remains under investigation pending further enquiries.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "We are still appealing for any witnesses to please come forward and speak to police.
